Berwick St, Soho, London Saturday 21st May 2011 – street market taken over by some of the UK’s most prestigious indie labels: Rough Trade, Heavenly, Peace Frog, Moshi Moshi, Domino, Mute, R&S, Wall Of Sound, Soul Jazz, Bella Union and XL.
The plan was simple – grab a box of our CDs, some promotional signs constructed by Matt and a set of headphones/MP3 player containing the whole of “Sketches for A Lost Summer” then proceed to location and set up our own super-independent market stall. Electric Café
Posted: September 9th, 2010 | Author: knot | Filed under: News | Comments OffWell, it finally happened…
July’s sewage shenanigans were all forgotten as ScooterCaffè won back its place in our hearts. Man of the Match went to Andy from The Scratch – sound-man extraordinaire, plus a big shout out to Coconut Monkey for the loan of their PA.
The Saskatoons turned in a sweet set of country honks – cheers to you, fellers.
Sadly no “Judas” heckles as The Untied Knot went electric for our debut live appearance. It was a blast from start to finish – a lovely crowd in a special venue. Matt was on fine form earning another stripe as the hardest working man in showbiz whilst I signalled the end to my 9 year old retirement from the live scene. Our set consisted of a large re-worked chunk of “Sketches For A Lost Summer” plus the airing of our new meisterwerk “Welcome To The Past”. Look out for some video from the event here soon, more live appearances will follow…
