“The Untied Knot have, on “Rien N’Existe” constructed a meditative space and slowly poured in slow, unfurling melodic strands and chimes that solidify over time. With some gorgeous acoustic guitar arpeggiation providing a harmonic bed for sailing e-bow and synth, “Rien N’Existe” is an accomplished step into a womb-like sonic existence, warm, enveloping and quietly brilliant in it’s dynamics.”

Photographer/film-maker Robin Prime has made this special film to accompany a track from “Rien n’existe”.

Our next live appearance will be at Servant Jazz Quarters, 10a Bradbury St, London N16 8JN (Map) on Wednesday 27th March 2013 – stage time 9.30pm, £5 entry.

Also playing is Isnaj Dui whose glitchy neo-impressionistic music using flutes, home-made dulcimers and electronics has received extensive play on Radio 3’s Late Junction and BBC 6 Music. 

“Microdot -Radio Al Barsha Version” the sound-art deconstruction created by Simon Coates and Zahra Jewanjee using our track “Microdot” as part of its source material will be gathering some exposure in the very near future.
Graham Dunning will feature the track on his show on London’s NTS Radio on Friday 22/2/13.

It will also feature as part of the month long Reuse Aloud exhibition and radio broadcast presented by Newcastle’s Tyneside Cinema and The NewBridge Project throughout March 2013.
Reuse Aloud is curated by Will Strong and Rosanna Skett and will examine the art of using old and existing compositions to make something new, and ask questions about originality in the digital age.
Throughout March a radio booth will be installed in the NewBridge Project Space and it will broadcast 24 hours a day on basic.fm.

Big thanks to Jeffrey Davison over in New Jersey for featuring tracks from “Rien n’existe” on his excellent “Shrunken Planet” Show on WFMU for the last 3 weeks running.

Rolling Stone Magazine, The Village Voice, CMJ and the New York Press have all at one time or another called WFMU “the best radio station in the country”. In recent years the station has gained a large international following due its online operations and counts Simpson’s creator Matt Groening, film director Jim Jarmusch and Velvet Underground founder Lou Reed, among others, as devoted fans of the station.
